This opens a text document. Save this page to your computer
by choosing File/save page as - and select your desktop. Open
this document and select back in the browser to return to this
page.
Highlight and select the simple version of code text in the
document and copy and paste it into the source page on your
blog.
There are two tabs on the right of your WRITE post. One is
display and the other is
source. Source is where the html or code
goes.
Once this code is entered, tab back to the design view and
you should be able to make any changes you want to the
message.
Changing the picture
You need to be in source view to change the picture like
this.
The pictures displayed on this site have a name after them
on the right. This is their url name.
src="http://www.richnicheblogging.com/xmasimages/
boxLB.jpg"
At the end of the picture urls (there are 2) in the code,
change the very last segment of the url (after the /) to the
name of the picture you want to display.
eg change ps.jpg to
pw.jpg to display the
W rather than the S.
or change boxLB.jpg to
santa.jpg to display the
Santa rather than the Gift
Box.
If not copying the code immediately into your blog, save
this text document so you can use it later. You can save this
example code on your computer and use it as a cheat sheet for
next time.

To Change It
Paste as described above directly into the source tab or
html area of your blog page editor.
Although this code won't work for a blog because it's in a
table, the changes to fonts and colours do apply to the code
referred to in the simple version. Depending on your blog
theme, your results will be variable, just have a play and see
what happens.
Change Background
colour : If you prefer the white
background, or wish a different colour, change or delete
BACKGROUND-COLOR: #d8d8d7
You can also change alignment and
padding
Change font
colour : If you prefer black delete -
otherwise substitute the colour you like, thats - change or
delete FONT color=#ff0055
Change letter
picture: At end of url change the last
section of the url to the right picture name: eg change
ps.jpg to pw.jpg to display the W rather than the
S.
Change message
text: For the text
following the picture, select the text and enter what you want
to display. Then use your text editor to increase or decrease
font size and change the colour.
eg: ANTA CLAUSis coming to
town
The bolded area above is what will display. Change to your
own message and adjust font size (eg - 20pt to 12pt) and remove
break code (eg < >) or add break ( ) for a new line until
the message displays as you want it to.
Remove the whole of the inner formatting if you want your
text to be uniform in size, with no space or break between
lines.
eg anta claus is coming to town
When you have made your changes, tab back to design view to
see what it looks like. Save or publish it when it looks
ok.
