Niche Market Research Methods
The first module of the Rich Niche Blogging Training is now launched. It took a long time to get organised but it was released yesterday very quietly as I’m still testing out a few things. But I’m really excited to tell you about it.
Listen, you’ve heard some bloggers say if you make excellent content that all will be well and seo doesn’t matter so much, right?
And by that, I mean they’re saying you don’t have to do any market research to succeed. They’re saying…
…If you write good content your readers will make you a success
…You can compete with other marketers for top of the line affiliate sales because you know a lot about your subject and write good posts.
OK, I want to give you some very useful business advice now.
IGNORE THESE PEOPLE!
And more importantly, NEVER believe you don’t have to do use some niche
market research methods to succeed again.
Being complacent doesn’t work for skilled marketers or any other marketers for that matter. They know the value of market research. They get their keyword tools out and they check the news, they look at their competitors and they look for great keywords to use.
I’ll give you a dark scenario of a beginner who thinks if you make excellent content that the money tree is growing and seo isn’t worth the time you spend doing it…who ends up paying a high price:
He decided that he didn’t have to do any market research and that seo sucked. He blogged some good posts, put up some affiliate links and waited for the money to roll in.
Everything seems normal at first when he started blogging, perhaps a bit slow but he thought things would change as time passed. A year later when still nothing has changed he committed blogacide.
Yep, just up and moved on and never went back to his blog again.
It’s a sad story isn’t it. He learned that experience is what happens to you after the fine print you didn’t read.
Look its a funny world and we are given much advice that we do ignore and rightly so but be proactive in this one thing and many other failings will be forgiven..
You want people to come to your blog, you hope they’ll click on your ads and make you a bit of money. Well, maybe you’re just a little excited that there may be hope for you. Is there really a book that can show you step by step how the whole mechanism works so you can fix it?
This is what I’m talking about:
Niche Market Research Methods for SEO
Market research is for big business. You don’t need SEO because you have an offline store and the website is just like - a business card. You know what search terms people are using to search for your site.
STOP RIGHT THERE!
OK, many marketers will assure you that you’ve done everything
right and that you should just have faith. Hey, perhaps you believe
that boomerangs are a highly sought after commodity and tourists all over the world often go online especially to buy them.
You know this approach will not work…ever.
HERE’S WHY THAT APPROACH WON’T WORK.
You have learned nothing to correct some dangerous misconceptions.
If you want the money tree to grow you have to fertilize it.
We never put our best foot forward until we’ve burnt the other one in hot water..
In other words, if you’re not riding the waves of change, you’re about to get dumped under them…
FORTUNATELY, THIS IS EASY TO FIX!
If your blog is a published and established blog then starting to use seo will require just a little tweaking of categories and a few other things. And then a keyword target campaign using seo and good keywords.
Starting from a fresh install is easier still, and better.
Picture what will happen if you start from the other end. FIRST you choose the high paying ads, the highly searched for topics, the really popular products
and THEN you research a niche to fit these for your blog.
All you have to do is:
1. Follow trends and find out hard data about a searched for market - this is the best way to find a good niche. A well researched market will outperform a vague idea anyday…
2. If you are creating a website to get more clients then you DO need SEO… You don’t keep your business cards in your wallet.
If you already have enough customers with an offline store then enjoy them. Creating a website without doing any seo is a waste of your profits.
You can take a look at my new book here:
Niche Market Research Methods for SEO
You have NOTHING to lose by trying this.
If you have not become a more skilful marketer after you put these secrets to work, let me know and I’ll give you your money back…AND STILL LET YOU KEEP THE WHOLE THING FOR FREE.
Why can I make such an outrageous guarantee?
Simple.
I know they work. I’ve used them to improve my niche marketing skills, and I’ve helped plenty of other web site owners.

You’ll be glad you did. I guarantee it.
Keyword Research Testing
Often we’re just too close to our own business or blog to think of the key phrases that “normal people” might use to find our blogs. We need to do some market research and test our assumptions to find out which terms are being searched for.
You can test this out yourself because I know you may be thinking that you know your business like the back of your hand.
All you need to do is write down 5 key phrases that you think people will use to find your site. Then check.
Check your stats or analytics and see which keywords are working
Download the free keyphrase tool on the main site and run a search on your terms and compare these other results.
It’s never an empty exercise, even if you are half right you will probably find new phrases you could be working on.
Starting to understand what keywords are and how to use them is at first complex and then it’s often boringly tedious . You enjoy yourself writing a great article and then you need to tweak it to fit a good phrase in just a little more often than is comfortable.
You can’t be funny or frivolous with your titles and you have to repeat the same phrase seemingly endlessly in meta info, in signatures etc.
But it will all be worth it in the end. This is the seo game. Want to play? Just like any other game you have to play to win.
So long as you follow the seo guidelines - you can be as creative as you like with the rest of the article and still rank for a keyphrase.
And if you don’t know what seo is or why you would want to rank for a key phrase - it is this key word or phrase strategy that enables search engines to place you on the first few pages for a search ‘term’ that a user types in to the search box. You won’t magically appear there - you have to make it happen.

A Few Hundred a Day
Make a few hundreds dollars everyday.
Is it as easy as this poster says? Click the title to visit the article I’m talking about.
Well with the right variables it probably is. Yes.
The total newbie probably won’t find this easy at all but with a basic knowledge of what to do to make a page look good, the ability to write a relevant review about a product that people are searching for and the time and generosity to help people who need it in a forum, the mix sounds great to me.
I thought it was a good simple easy plan of action for forum marketing. Whether your aim is to make a few hundred or to just get visitors to your site, the fact is that there are a lot of newbie areas in some massive forums with people who are desperately seeking answers.
This works for every kind of niche so long as you stay relevant. Advertise a book about writing in a writers forum, a special deal on golf balls in a golf forum, a way to get rid of fleas in a pets forum and a good trusts guide in an investment forum.
Make sure your signature has an excellent headline and your conversion page has a good feel about it and all you need really is to put a link where people are looking for it.
Don’t spam, don’t hype, don’t sell - just review. Let the customer make up his own mind. Just make a conduit between a client and a vendor. It’s certainly worth trying.
Free Profitable Niches for Adsense or Pay Per Lead
I haven’t got around to searching out many Hot Topic Blogs yet, please forgive me, I’m dancing as fast as I can!
I did however find a fantastic report on Red Hot Topics for Niche Blogs and I have resale rights to it so I am offering it for free at
Red Hot Topic - High Profit Niches
Well - for the cost of your email address I guess really. But I have to send it to you somehow!
By Tuks Engineer this $97.00 report is a promo report for his site. It details a large number of topics that people bid highly for the keywords with Adsense or for leads. There are also products that you can add to a site on these topics that are highly sought after and should make some income for you if you create a content site or blog around them.
There will be PLR content available but be aware that topics such as finance may require a little research to ensure that the information you are giving is up to date and valid.
Anyway, head over to Red Hot Topics - Profitable Niches and pick up your free copy while its there. I’ll be adding it to the Library soon so it won’t be free forever. I’ll find something else that’s just as good though instead. So consider subscribing to the blog feed so you know what’s on offer as soon as I upload it.
Hope you enjoy the report and maybe find a niche that you can make some good income with. Best of luck with it. Let me know how you go.
Tutorial Videos at the Library
The launch day is getting closer and my nerves are getting shot I admit. There is still a lot to do but I have to say that for a one woman show I think I’m doing ok! I am particularly happy with the way the library is shaping up at
http://www.richnicheblogging.com/members/
I’ve found some fantastic videos on UTube for the video library. I now have several basic tutorial videos on installing and setting up Wordpress and Blogger blogs as a free blog on their domains. I also found some tutorial videos on installing Wordpress with Fantastico or Cpanel and doing it using FTP, I’ll have those up by tomorrow. I found a video on how to embed videos in a Wordpress Blog and also one on SEO for Wordpress.
I found some excellent videos from Jack Humphreys and the Friday Night Traffic Report. These are a real find. The first is about trackbacks, what they are and how to use them. The second is about the KQF plugin which that inserts an RSS feed into a Wordpress Blog Post with the minimum of fuss. The third will explain how to wrap your blog text around an Adsense block in a post when using the Adsense Deluxe Plugin.
They are all excellent tutorial videos that help you get past small obstacles of ignorance that might otherwise be ignored losing some optimization that will help your blog, with seo, with fresh content and visually.
On the technical side of things I found videos on Google Analytics and about understanding includes folder their use and why they should be used.
There is a fantastic presentation video with Seth Godin speaking to Google employees. I’ve watched it twice now and believe I’ll watch it several times more. He is as funny as Terry Pratchet with that wonderful way of stating the truth that hits you when you least expect it. Although I get the feeling that Terry Pratchet likes cats. In fact Greebo, Nanny oggs cat, is one of my favourite characters and reminds me enormously of my own cross eyed cat Misty.
There’s lots more there, on article marketing, link strategies, affiliate marketing and many more. You don’t have to be a member to see the videos. To download the books you have to be a member but if you are heading over there have a look around the other libraries it will give you an idea of what the course will contain when its ready.
I hope you enjoy them and learn something new. I certainly have, and I’m looking forward to trying out some new things. That KQF plugin looks pretty good
Introduction to Our b2evolution Niche Blog and to a forthcoming package about Blogging in a niche - Rich Niche Blogging
![]()
Introducing http://www.richnicheblogging.com
![]()
Rich Niche Blogging is a package of blogging software, ebook and PDF tutorials, audio and video tutorials and themes that we are compiling into a comprehensive library. Including market research into niches, the structuring of blogs around a niche theme, creating, using and monetizing blogs and traffic generation to your blogs.
We should have a basic sales page up within the next few days.
This a b2evolution blog installed, just as you would install a Wordpress blog using fantastico through Cpanel.
Wordpress is a fantastic Blog platform with the easy option of multiple themes and plugins to allow the use of text, image, audio, video and widgets. Its easy to monetize and manage and rarely requires people to struggle with code and so it is the ideal blog platform for newbies. Its categorization ties into the Social Bookmarking SEO of tagging and this versatility and SEO aspect make it the best platform for monetization.
Sometimes however widgets and gadgets are not what you need for a particular purpose and you might have more use for a multi user, multi category, multi blog platform. For the sheer convenience of being able to fantastico install b2evolution might be what you are looking for.
b2evolution offers the option of tab navigation between several different blogs, all within the same MySql database and platform login. Multiple people can register and use the blog/s so it’s ideal for a family of bloggers or for novelists co operating on a public writing project, for companies who want to have several departments blogging about different aspects of their company and for niche blogs that tackle a large niche but who want several smaller blogs on specific aspects of their niche.
You can protect posts and have private posts with a b2evolution blog, so its good for student and teacher interaction where public data might be sensitive. Its system for categorization is also much more powerful than Wordpress
As we are setting up the Rich Niche Blogging Package, we’ll be talking about different aspects of the package and what it can do for you.
In general information on blog platforms such as Blogger and Wordpress will all be on the Wordpress blog at http://www.richnicheblogging.com/monetize/
but information about b2evolution will be on this blog, so you can see how it works and how it is different.
Otherwise this blogs satellite blogs will generally be about various aspects of niche marketing.
You will be able to see this blog change and develop as I work in it, by watching the tabs at the top of the page and where they go, by changes in the sidebar. Presently, there are four links, because the platform comes set up with a link to all posts, to Blog A, Blog B and a Blogroll. The installation comes with documentation already filled in posts, so that it can explain the functions of different pages. I will leave these pages in place so that the blog itself can teach you by observation as you click around.
You’ll see mistakes because I’m still learning how to work this platform. I hope its not too hard adding a new blog! We’ll find out anyway. Currently it’s time to change the time as the blog and I are a day apart, we also don’t have a title yet. More to come, I’ll keep notes and keep you informed.
And my name is Julie by the way. If you stumble across the blog - I’ve got comments enabled, say Hi and introduce yourself!
