It is necessary to do keyword research to find great keyword phrases to optimize a blog articles but this is only half of the keyword equation. The other half of the equation is link popularity and to get this you need to brave the wilds of the internet and ask for links, by submitting your blog to directories and commenting in forums and on blogs and by asking people to exchange links.

If your niche might have a forum, search for it with a topic keyword and add a plus sign with the word forum . Example: hairdressing+forum. To find blogs with rankings and alexa ratings there is a tool in the downloads area of the library that will find good blogs to comment on.
