How do you take advantage of the blogging platform to build a profitable niche blogging site?By using categories. The B2evolution theme is good for this but difficult to configure. Wordpress has some plugins to help and use of good permalink choice is important.
First, you must choose your niche. The first module and the most important one will show you how to identify your primary keyword phrase and pick out about ten secondary keywords - these secondary keywords or keyphrases will be used later in the great Master Plan of things to get your niche blog read....
The second step is to write a relevant article or two or ten or a hundred based on and optimized for your primary keyword phrase. Then set up your blog, starting with a free blog such as Blogger and publish your first post to a category that is also named by your primary keyword.
For each of your ten secondary keywords, create a new niche blogging category using each keyword as the name of the category. Now get writing because the next step is to fill in content for one post on each of the ten keywords and post it in the category that goes by the same name.
The more relevant keywords you find the more content you can add to your blog. Aim for at least ten category keywords and 10 posts per category, but you don't have to do it all today. Gradually adding content is what blogs are all about, it teases the bots to keep coming back for more, a bit like mom picking up the clothes you left on the floor. Eventually you'll have a hundred pages.
Each of those pages will have an automatic link to one of your 10 Categories. You will add links that will use anchor text using your most important keywords to further intertwine your posts. Your reward for all those internal keyword rich links, will be that your blog will end up ranking very well in the search engines for your Category names.
When you have at least two articles in at least five categories you'll want to tackle a scary task. You'll want to go public and submit your niche blog to some RSS directories. There are many special niche RSS blog directories that are hungry for feeds. By submitting your new niche blogs to these directories, you will begin getting readers almost immediately. Quite often your feeds will bring you lot more traffic than the major search engines would send to static site, which is why we are making niche blogs and not niche sites.
